Bekkdalsetra

The little house is ten km from the farm on the road towards Elg. One can drive all the way. This was the farm's summer residence from 1960 to 1988.

The house furnishing is simple but functional with beds for seven people in three bedrooms. One bed is in the kitchen. Beds in kitchens are traditional as this was the warmest room in the house. There is no electricity or running water and the toilet is in a separate house. The water has to be fetched from the nearby stream 100m away. But the house is the perfect setting for those who like the closeness to the wilderness. It is a great starting point for fishing, berry picking, bird shooting, or just the feeling of loneliness and silence. You are almost guaranteed the sight of a beaver. The house is placed near the peak of Sorkholla 1012m above see level and 2km from the road to Gutulia the protected area.
